Poll: My team is losing. I:
  • 40.5% - Keep cheering! The ups and downs are part of what makes being a fan great! 246
  • 37.2% - Yell at the television. Seriously, we should not be this bad! 226
  • 5.8% - Stop watching for a few weeks. It’s just too depressing. 35
  • 16.6% - Don’t understand. Do people really follow bad teams? Why not just become a fan of a winning one? 101

Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

You forget to include an option: watch desperately hoping for a win you know is unlikely.

Lets see. I live in a major sports market. South Florida has the Panthers, the Marlins, the Dolphins, and the Heat. And, I went to U of Florida. One of them gotta be a winner... (Go Heat!)

umm losing is just part of the deal and it really doesn't matter that much because I'm indifferent to begin with.

As a Cubs fan I am afraid of what might happen if they ever do win it again. "There's always next year!"

I never understood people who would instantly become rabid "fans" of whichever team was dominant at the time. Fandom, like marriage, is supposed to be a life-long commitment, isn't it?

On the other hand I know people who change mates just as frequently.
