I find that hard to believe! Is your thermometer in direct sunlight?

It's only 100 in the shade here today, it feels better than the 106's we've been having.

All official temps are taken out of direct sunlight .

edit: sorry; science moment - weather stations, whether they are operated by a weather service or an amateur observer, should include an instrument shelter. A common kind used by volunteer observers and some weather stations in the USA is called a cotton region shelter.

Just had a heck of a windstorm here. Unfortunately, no rain.

Well, another day has passed and I didn't use algebra once.

I'm thinking that I'm pretty well packed, just my phone charger left to pack in the a.m.

New pants that I ordered from the police/fire tactical store were delivered tonight so lots o' pockets to carry all my crap with me.I'm not thrilled with the button up fly but I got a great deal and they are just what I wanted so I am a happy traveler.

Good morning everybody! No jogging today so I tried a new recipe from Southern Plate. My next door neighbor gave us 4 ripe peaches last night so I made Peach Cobbler Muffins. Yummy, yummy, yummy.

or read the short version
Short version: Knee good. Knee bad. knee good. No warning. It decides. Not me.

So, sitting there watching TV, suddenly my knee feels different. Got back more than half of the mobility I lost.

This is how it works:
Go to sleep with a perfect knee.

Wake up with a swollen knee. Two big cysts.

Some days hurts. Some days swollen but can walk just fine. Usually not painful.

Two days after it hurting and effecting walking, not bending much at all, It switches back to feels ok, just swollen.

ARRRRGH

The cyst is still there, but the knee is bending much further today.

MRI in two weeks. If it isn't a torn meniscus, I guess it will be like this forever.
Gone
Back
hurts
doesn't
gone

That is what the wrist has been doing for years.

I was watching the wrong old people in the family!
My grandfather, mother , uncle, dads aunt. They were ok well into their 80's.

I should have been watching the grandmothers. Both of them. They would sit in the kitchen and cook. Why? Bad knees!

Cysts can be removed without too much trouble. A relative has one in her back. Extremely painful or doesn't notice it at all. Because it would involve back surgery, she's not going for it unless it gets a whole lot worse. In a knee, might be worth it.

We are slow to respond.

Daughter has power. Radio station doesn't.
Boyfriends work has power. His first day is monday. It is a restaurant. I bet it will be busy as all heck.
Hubby was on vacation on the hurricane week last year. Every restaurant was packed.
Son's Panara was jammed when they had power and lots of the area lost it.

This living in the south doesn't work with no power! The population didn't explode down there until after AC became the norm.
Plus , when did MD become so hot???
