That is brilliant. Was on the fence for my older daughter for running shorts but absolutely getting them for younger daughter for next year's pool season. Even if I have to make bikini bottoms to go under it's still a fantastic deal.

You won't either way because of the $5 All You Can Ship. You only pay shipping once for the day.

However, just choose the quantity first. That will give you a box to select the size for each set.

Oki-doki, here's what I've been able to find out.

SIZE: XXS (3/4), XS (5/6), S (7/8), M (9/10), L (11/12) and XL (13/14)
We bought these as "youth". Each brand/company markets their sizes differently and "youth", "junior", and "kids" are often interchangeable terms. Specific waist measurements are not given on elastic banded items.

INSEAM/OUTSEAM:

Apparel manufacturers are allowed a tolerance to spec, so there could be some slight variance from the above measurements.

Edit: Made a couple edits to the above. No information changed.

Have lots of soccer and basketball still to go. Plus these will be great play outside without worrying about the stains shorts. In for 3, 2 for now and 1 for later.

I never heard of swim shorts for girls. Is this something new? I don't see them on the beaches we go to and don't use public pools. We have our own pool and none of my kids friends ever wore shorts to swim in. Are they for after swimming or are worn in a pool or in the ocean?

They're just shorts, usually nylon, usually woven. Some of us prefer to put our female children in shorts instead of swim suit bottoms that crawl up or that more closely resemble dental floss than clothing.

It's nice that kids these days have so many options, really.

Well, the inseam length is helpful, but having waist measurements would settle the
sizing once & for all.
I still suspect that these are junior girl sizes (tweens - teens) based on the numbers (odd/even).

Elementary school kid sizes (either sex) are just plain evens (8, 10, 12 or 8-10, 10-12), no odds (other than size 7)

I'm passing on this, as I don't think my elementary school boy would fit in a tween girl pair of shorts. If I was more certain that these were elementary kid sizes, not tween girl sizes, I'd be all over it. I don't have any friends/relatives with tween girls that would use these if I lost the gamble.

ksimoto wrote:These athletic shorts are a fabulous price when you think about how 1 pair of similar shorts are about $20. I bought these same shorts on another deal site a few months ago (6 for 14.99) for my 4 year old son. He's rather tall and lean, so I ordered the XXS and XS (one for this year, one for next year). Just like here, the colors were randomly sent and I received black for both orders. The XXS seemed a little wide/poofy, but that's kind of the nature of these shorts if you've ever worn them. When he was running around on the field in them, any issue with fit I thought he had was no longer an issue.

As far as quality, they're really thin and have no sort of backing (which is normal for this type of short, but I'm just throwing this out there for those who may not know).

They wash up fine - I normally don't throw them in the dryer, but the pairs that've slipped through have done all right and are fine.

What was the other site?

I buy clothes for my boys (6 and 4) all the time that have the even/odd sizing. Maybe from Old Navy? Can't remember exactly.

That's true. Kids sizes run 4-20 for boys and girls. These remind me of Umbros when I was young.

I run a lot and am a pretty small guy (5'7", 135 lb). I get away with buying XL kids size shirts at Old Navy or cheap, and sometimes the Champion products in kids sizes at Target. These shorts look great for running, but I don't think even I could fit into them!

Random colors.... I got 5 pair of L- Green and 5 pair of XL- Black.

I just received my youth shorts, and the site said RANDOM colors, I got 5 black med, 3 red xs and 2 green xs. That’s not really random, the site should have told us if there were going to all the same color.

I just received my shipment of random soccer shorts (1 set small, 2 sets medium). My son and I were surprised and disappointed to find five pairs of green shorts (all size small) and **TEN PAIRS OF WHITE SHORTS** (all size medium). Obviously, this was a great deal and I knowingly accepted the risk something like this might happen, but my hopes were higher. I have always been pleased with Woot's fulfillment of random orders- but this time, it looks like whoever filled the order just didn't care at all.

The random must have meant you get 5 pairs of the same random color shorts. My daughter was a little disappointed to get 5 pairs of black shorts...

Absolutely disappointed too.

My 7 year old boy is now the proud owner of 5 pair of small WHITE shorts and 5 pair of medium green shorts.

Thanks a lot.

So much for the random selection of colors. 3 orders, 3 sizes for 3 children. 1 order/size had 5 pairs of black, 1 order/size had 5 pairs of blue and 1 order/size had 4 black and 1 green.
Not very happy.

Another complaint about random colors. I received 10 pairs of medium white, 4 small green and 1 small black. Who put these packages together?

iix

quality posts: 0 Private Messages iix

Count me in on the "random color" confusion. I got 5 out 5 black shorts today for my oldest. I assume I'll get a package for my youngest son tomorrow. It's a safe bet it will be 5 of the same color. That sure is a rip. Evidently, from the comments here, they at least had other colors.

5 XS, all black, for my son. "Randomly selected colors" at least (by the plural) implies more than one color will be included...

The youth XL will fit a small framed adult. They work well for me, with the exception that woot decided to mix-up the sizes and included 3 XSm which are worthless since I have no small kids.

middle (s) got two green and three navy.

Fool me once, Woot...
Five pairs of white XXS and five black XS. That is counter to the implied variety advertised here. Granted, we can't expect one of each color, but with all of these buyers saying the same thing, the odds of getting nearly uniform colors in each size across this many orders are nearly statistically impossible if it is random.

As a staffer suggested I will see if service@woot can correct the mistake; orthereise I'm a very gunshy wooter from here on out.

Ordered 2...my "assortment" consisted of 10 pair of the same color black shorts. Not a bad thing if you are trying to buy for a soccer team, but not good when people start to wonder if your kid has more than one pair of shorts.
