Will You Be Prepared?

A NASCAR Brightstick: a source of light for you... OR FOR YOUR WORST ENEMY!

You are sitting in the stands, watching a lively and exciting NASCAR race. A man approaches you.

"Excuse me, sir," he says. "I've dropped a small and valuable ring beneath my seat. You wouldn't happen to have a key chain flashlight I could use for a moment, would you?"

You do, in fact, have a key chain flashlight attached to your keys, and you consider, for a moment, handing it to him, keys and all. Because, c'mon! It's just a poor guy looking for a ring!

But still, you hesitate, because there's something about this man that seems familiar. Where have you seen him?

Ah, yes! He's the man that's been sitting in the cable van that's been parked outside of your neighbor's house for the past few weeks. That's no biggie, though. A cable guy's allowed to go to a NASCAR race, right?

But wait a minute, now that you think about, cable doesn't take several weeks to install. And your neighbor, an elderly man, died three months ago, so he probably wouldn't want cable anyway.

This is when you realize that this man is no cable guy. He's a thief who's been scoping you out! Most-likely to steal your collection of pre-Civil-War kitchen utensils! Which you keep in your basement! In a locked, bullet-proof glass case! The key to which is ON YOUR KEY RING WITH THE KEY CHAIN FLASHLIGHT!

So what do you do? Refuse? Take the flashlight off the ring and reveal your distrust? No, you've got just thing to thwart this guy while still appearing ignorant to his intentions, thus buying yourself some time to gather enough information to bust him later!

You take a NASCAR Brightstick out of your pocket, bend it, and hand it to him. "This'll do the trick," you say. He looks at the illuminated rod for a moment before meekly saying, "thanks," and walking away, defeated.

Your most prize possessions are secure. Your life has not just fallen to pieces. You are okay. Everything is okay. And it's all thanks to a NASCAR Brightstick!

Also, they can be used for camping or power outages or working on your car... you now, less common issues than the one we've described above.
