Pack it up, Pack it In

"Backpack?" I prefer the term "Bug-Out Bag."

Yeah, I mean technically it's a backpack. I mean, it's called a Kelty Avocet 30 Backpack. But it's more than that. It's got a sleeve for a reservoir to turn it into one of those hydration packs, it's got traps for side compression, load stability, and even ice-axe loops. It's got a wicking back panel, a sternum strap, padded shoulder straps, and a removable webbing waist belt.

And now that I've got it stuffed full of trail mix and a machete I'm ready for pretty much any disaster scenario I can think of.
